Physical Therapy for Knee

Knee Pain

When your knee hurts, stairs, walking, and getting up can feel harder than they should. We help you rebuild the movement and strength needed for daily life.

At Greenbelt Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine, we listen to your concerns, assess your movement, and develop a plan around the activities that matter to you.

A Plan for Your Next ChapterYour movement. Your routine. Your goals.

Focused on Your Knee

Find confidence in your next step.

We listen to your concerns and assess how your knee and surrounding muscles perform during relevant activities. Your plan reflects your evaluation, goals, and any medical or surgical restrictions.

Your therapist discusses the movements that have become difficult, including walking, using stairs, standing up from a chair, bending, and returning to appropriate work or recreational tasks. We review your relevant medical history and instructions and assess the movement, strength, and function needed for your goals.

Treatment may include guided mobility exercises, strengthening, balance work, and practice with everyday tasks. Your therapist adjusts activity according to your response and stage of recovery.

Tell us about your diagnosis, previous treatment, and any surgery or activity restrictions. Your plan is selected for your situation rather than a single routine for everyone with the same symptoms.

Your Questions, Answered

About Your Care

Do I need a diagnosis before contacting you?

You can call our office to discuss an evaluation and any referral or coverage requirements. Your symptoms alone do not identify a particular injury, so share any medical findings or instructions you have received.

Can I attend after surgery or a fracture?

When prescribed and medically appropriate, rehabilitation follows your surgeon’s or treating provider’s instructions, including movement and weight-bearing restrictions. Contact our office to discuss timing and required documentation.

Will the plan depend on my specific injury?

Yes. The diagnosis, severity, stage of recovery, and your goals can change the treatment approach. Your therapist reviews these factors with you.

How many visits will I need?

Your therapist discusses a recommended schedule after your evaluation. Coverage, referrals, and authorizations may also affect the approved visits.
